At Calling Kids, we want to be active in seeing children transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ — we aren’t just babysitting, we’re raising up little disciples who love Jesus while also providing an opportunity for parents to attend service free of distraction, trusting that their children are well cared for.

Because of this, we are committed to teaching our kids about Jesus every Sunday. We do this through worship, Bible memorization, and age-appropriate, gospel-centered curriculum taught by our incredible volunteer teachers. For each classroom, we have developed the following goals that we strive to meet each week.

Service Time: 10:00am

Nursery

Birth - Pre-K: To prepare parents to embrace their role as the primary shepherd and discipler of their children.

Preschool

To provide kids with a foundation of following Jesus by introducing them to the major themes of the Bible.

Elementary

1st Grade - 5th Grade: To intentionally present the gospel so that kids can see it, understand it and believe it for themselves. To point kids to Jesus as the model of a gospel-centered life; we want them to grasp not just the “what” but also the “why” of Christian obedience.

At Eastside Church, we are committed to the safety and well-being of all of our kids. All volunteers and staff are required to know our safety policies and procedures as well as pass a Live Scan Test (nationwide background check) before they can start serving in our ministry. We also use a computer check-in system, called Planning Center, to ensure kids’ safety and security both on Sunday mornings and at all of our events.
